About

Jacquelyn is a multimedia artist and small business owner. She has a passion for upcycling and incorporating sustainable design into all facets of her work. She is excited to share her knowledge about using secondhand materials to create new pieces across a variety of crafting mediums.

What is upcycling?

The process of making something new from materials that already exist is called upcycling. This is my favorite way to prevent fabric waste, use up my scraps, and find creative ways to use the materials at hand. Upcycling can look very different depending on what you’re starting with, so the fun of it is being creative with your materials and envisioning a new life for them.

Meet the maker

Jacquelyn is a multimedia artist that loves to experiment with a wide variety of art forms. Her skills include watercolor, gouache and acrylic painting, fiber arts like crochet, knitting and sewing, digital illustration, tattoo design, and more.

She is focused on incorporating sustainable design into every aspect of her work. All upcycled apparel is handmade from secondhand garments and textiles. All embroidered hats are sourced secondhand, stripped of their previous design, and re-made into something new. Scraps are saved and used in future projects.

Jacquelyn is always learning, challenging herself in a new skill, and growing her business. Over 10 years of making art she’s learned a few things that she’d like to share. Check out the DIY resource blog for tutorials, free patterns and project inspiration.
